How exactly Tires are made?
The tires across the world are a result of multiple investments over the decades now. Robert William Thomson invented the first pneumatic tire back in 1845. But it was too costly and was quite ahead of its time. In the early 1880s, Dunlop invented the first practical tires for bicycles. Now centuries later there are tires for a range of vehicles are for renowned brands in the market like ford, range over, Bentley, etc.
Many
customers who frequently check Federal tires Kuwait and Total quartz Tires prices how is a tire made
and how pieces of that rubber and metal provide so soothing driving experience.
Well in this blog of Albabtain Auto the leading tire shop Kuwait and
many other brands are here to enlighten with an important process i.e. how
tires are made? So read it till the last.
The Tire Making Process
Let’s
check how exactly tires are made
Raw Materials: The main ingredients in tire
making are natural and synthetic fiber. The raw rubber used in tire
manufacturing is produced by latex with rubbers that make it a bit softer.
Unwanted water is removed from the rubber and it is folded into sheets. The other
major things that are used in tire making are metallic and textile
reinforcement cables, carbon black, and other chemicals.
Design: Car tires are
made of basic components like sidewalls and the tread. Many tires are designed
as per the need and requirements of a particular model. Depending on the design
of the treads many tires are optimized for all types of conditions. Computer
designs play a very key role in design to stimulate the effects of different
types of rubber compounds.
Manufacturing: A machine firmly known as
Banbury Mixer combines the raw materials for each compound into a regulated
batch of black material. The mixing process is totally computerized to assure
quality and standardization. These materials are further sent to processing this
is where the actual assembling of the tire begins.
The
body, beads, and tread of the tires are then produced and the tire assembler
starts building a tire by wrapping a rubber cover fabric piles of the machine
drum. Then the beads are added and locked into a placed and special tool that
edges the tire piles. Finally, the extended sidewalls and treads are glued and
placed and it is removed from the building machine. Before distribution, it
undergoes several tests of inspection and molds for the curing process.
The
tires for any vehicle are considered the most vital component. Modern tire
making uses a blend of a unique mix of chemistry, physics and is engineered to
provide a high-grade experience to their customers in terms of safety,
reliability, efficiency, and performance. Tire factories hire skilled labor
across the globe and produce over 250 million tires every single year.
